Frome Dale Bed & Breakfast

Something's gone a bit wrong here - Frome Dale appears to be listed as a historic site when it's actually a bed and breakfast near Wareham. I've stayed in enough Dorset B&Bs to know one when I see one, and this certainly isn't a tourist attraction you'd visit for the day.

If you're looking for proper historic sites around Wareham, you're in the right area though. The town itself has Saxon earthworks and sits perfectly for exploring Corfe Castle and the Isle of Purbeck. This part of Dorset is absolutely brilliant for history buffs.

Frome Dale might make a decent base if you're touring the area - Wareham's got good connections and you're well placed for the Purbeck Hills. Families staying at nearby parks like Wareham Forest Tourist Park or Sandyholme Holiday Park often use the town as a jumping-off point for day trips.

Better to focus your time on the actual attractions though. Wareham's quayside is lovely for a stroll, and you're only twenty minutes from some of Dorset's best beaches. The real draw here is location - you can reach both the coast and the heathland easily from this spot.
