Fortingall Kirk

The churchyard at Fortingall holds one of Scotland's oldest living things - a yew tree that's been standing here for somewhere between 2,000 and 5,000 years, depending on which historian you believe. It pairs well with time spent exploring the nearby glens and if you're camping at Glengoulandie, just a few miles away, it's an easy detour. The village itself is tiny and quiet - no cafes or shops immediately adjacent, so bring provisions if you're making a day of it. It's not dramatic or showstopping, but it's the sort of place that lingers with you.
