Finchcocks Music Museum

It's one of those places that sounds niche until you're actually there, and then you realise how genuinely absorbing it all becomes.

The collection is proper impressive. You get a real sense of how keyboard instruments evolved, from delicate 16th-century pieces to thundering Victorian uprights. Some are still playable, which makes a huge difference - hearing a harpsichord actually being played rather than just staring at the gilded wood changes everything. The house itself is part of the appeal, all creaky floorboards and higgledy-piggledy rooms.
