Falls of Cruachan Waterfall

The Falls of Cruachan thunder down a narrow gorge near Taynuilt with proper force, especially after heavy rain. You'll walk through woodland to reach the falls themselves - it's not a long trek, but the path gets muddy and steep in places, so decent boots are essential.

What you get is a dramatic cascade dropping into a pool below, surrounded by dark stone and dripping moss. It's the kind of Scottish waterfall that actually lives up to the hype, unlike some that peter out to a trickle by summer.
