It works best for families with younger kids who still find windmills and water features genuinely thrilling. Teenagers will likely lose interest within an hour.

The setting itself is pleasant enough - it's spread across grounds with decent views toward the Solent on a clear day. Walking round takes about two to three hours if you're thorough, though many people dash through in half that time. Fair warning: it's not cheap, and the facilities are basic. Go early in the day to avoid crowds, and bring a packed lunch rather than relying on the on-site cafe.

What makes it worth considering is proximity to the holiday parks clustered nearby. Kingfisher Caravan Park sits just 3.8 miles away, and Hayling Island Holiday Park even closer by car. If you're parked at one of these bases for a week, Exploria serves as a decent wet-weather backup or a low-energy afternoon option.
