Escomb Nature Reserve

Escomb Nature Reserve sits just outside Bishop Auckland, and it's the sort of place that rewards you for bothering to find it - no crowds, proper wildlife watching, and enough woodland paths to keep you occupied for a couple of hours without feeling forced.
