Emperor's Hill

The walk up Emperor's Hill, just outside Guildford, rewards you with proper views across the Surrey countryside - all chalk downland, woodland, and the occasional glint of the Wey below. Wyldecrest Surrey Hills is also close enough to be worth the drive. The hill works well as part of a broader walking loop round the area rather than a destination in itself. Go on a weekday if possible; weekends pull in the Guildford day-tripper crowd. The views are worth the climb, but don't expect anything that'll change your life.
