East Court Wood feels genuinely wild - no manicured trails or visitor centre here, just proper Cornish woodland where you can lose yourself for an hour or two.

Families with older children who don't mind a bit of mud will love the freedom to explore, though pushchair users should probably give this one a miss. The terrain can be uneven and there's no obvious circular route, so it's more about wandering and seeing what you find rather than following a set path.

For those staying at nearby parks like Killigarth Manor or Tencreek, it's a proper contrast to the beach days - somewhere to stretch your legs and breathe in that earthy woodland smell. The walk from Tremeer Farm's yurt site isn't too taxing either, making it a decent option for glampers wanting to explore beyond their accommodation. Just don't expect facilities or clear signposting.
