Earthwork

You won't find much signage when you arrive at this Iron Age earthwork near Guildford, which is either refreshingly authentic or slightly annoying depending on how you feel about archaeological sites that don't hold your hand. What you're looking at are the defensive ditches and banks of a settlement that's roughly 2,500 years old - the sort of thing that makes you realise how little of Surrey's ancient past most visitors ever clock.
