Adults who've worked in creative industries tend to linger longer, spotting the technical detail others miss. Casual visitors might find it a bit thin on the ground if nothing's actively happening - budget two to three hours maximum, ideally after checking what's on that week.

It's free to wander the public areas, though special tours or workshops usually cost. Spring Valley Campsite is only three miles away and makes a solid base if you're combining this with exploring Hull's museums and galleries. Burton Constable Holiday Park sits four miles out and has the bonus of an arboretum on site, so you could easily spend a afternoon between both attractions without doubling back.
