Clevancy Hill sits near Devizes and isn't a dramatic peak - more of a determined stride up open downland - but that's rather the point. The walk itself takes maybe twenty minutes from the nearest access point, depending on your pace and where you start. The ground can be boggy after rain, so proper boots matter. What makes it worthwhile is the 360-degree perspective once you're up there: rolling fields, distant church spires, and on clear days, sight lines that stretch properly across the county. No crowds, no gift shop, no interpretation boards telling you what you're already seeing.
