Cleeve Hill

Standing at 1,083 feet, this is the highest point in Worcestershire and frankly, the views are worth every step of the climb. The summit offers proper panoramic vistas across the Vale of Evesham and beyond - on clear days you can spot the Welsh mountains and the Malverns. It's quite something.

Walkers and landscape photographers will get the most from Cleeve Hill. The approach is straightforward enough for most fitness levels, though it's definitely more rewarding if you enjoy a good stomp across open countryside. Kids might lose interest unless they're keen on the outdoors - there's no playground at the top, just grass and sky.

Being natural parkland, there's no entrance fee or opening hours to worry about. Allow a couple of hours for the round trip from the nearest parking, longer if you want to explore the surrounding footpaths properly. Early morning visits often reward you with the best light and fewer crowds.

From nearby holiday parks like Bredon-Vale Caravan and Camping or Orchard Lodge Holiday Park, it makes a decent half-day excursion. The proximity to Evesham means you can easily combine it with a proper pub lunch in town afterwards.
