This isn't a championship venue, which is exactly its charm. The course suits mid-range handicappers and anyone wanting a straightforward game without the pretension. You'll need to book ahead, particularly at weekends. Greens fees are reasonable for Wales, and the clubhouse is functional rather than fancy - proper old-school golf club atmosphere, the kind where people actually know each other.

It works brilliantly if you're based at one of the nearby holiday parks. Morfa Lodge is only 2.3 miles away and hits a solid 4 out of 5 for families - you could play 18 holes in the morning and still be back for a late lunch. Dinlle Caravan Park, another 1.5 miles further, offers similar convenience. Non-golfers in your group won't struggle either; Caernarfon town centre is close enough for a quick wander round the castle and shops while you're out on the fairways.
