The paths wind through mixed woodland, with enough variation to keep things interesting. You'll find yourself ducking under low branches one minute, then emerging into clearings where the light filters through beautifully. It's the sort of place where kids can properly explore - building dens, spotting wildlife, getting thoroughly muddy.

Dog walkers absolutely love it here, and you'll understand why once you see how the terrain opens up. The undergrowth is thick enough to feel wild but not so overgrown that you're battling through brambles. Families staying at nearby sites like Orchard Glamping or Claylands Caravan Park often make this their go-to spot for a morning adventure.

Allow a good two hours if you want to do it justice, though you could easily spend longer if the weather's decent.
