Bowman Hill

The ascent from the nearest car parking spot takes about 45 minutes through mixed woodland and open grassland, with the final stretch getting properly steep.

Families with older children will manage fine, though toddlers might find it tough going. Dog walkers love it here - plenty of space to let them off the lead once you're clear of the woodland sections. The panoramic views from the top stretch west towards the Welsh hills and east over the Shropshire plain towards Shrewsbury, making it well worth the effort on a clear day.
