A working library tucked away in Faversham's quieter corners, Boughton Library is the sort of place locals actually use rather than tourists flock to - and that's rather the point. It's a proper community space with the usual mix of books, computers, and that unmistakable library smell. Nothing fancy, nothing Instagram-worthy, just functional and genuinely useful if you've forgotten your Kindle or need to kill an hour on a rainy afternoon.

You won't find much in the way of rare manuscripts or historical exhibitions here. It's a modern lending library doing what lending libraries do - serving residents of Faversham and the surrounding villages. If you're the sort of traveller who likes stumbling into everyday local spaces rather than ticking off attractions, fair enough. But if you're after something that justifies leaving your glamping pod or caravan, you'd be better off exploring Faversham's high street or the nearby Creeks.

It works brilliantly as a rainy-day refuge during a week-long stay at Mount Ephraim Glamping Pods or Brook Farm Glamping, particularly if you're travelling with teenagers who need Wi-Fi and somewhere warm to sit. The staff are helpful, and there's usually somewhere to grab a coffee nearby. Worth knowing about, but don't rearrange your itinerary around it. Faversham itself - with its historic market square and waterfront - offers considerably more for visitors.
