Barham Methodist Church

But if you're staying at one of the nearby caravan parks - Hawthorne Trench or Black Horse Farm are closest - it's worth a five-minute detour to see what a proper Victorian Methodist chapel looks like when left largely unchanged.

Methodist churches tend to be unpretentious affairs, and Barham is no exception. The interior is simple: whitewashed walls, timber pews, a modest pulpit.
