A proper community library tucked into Almondbury village, just outside Holmfirth - the sort of place locals actually use rather than somewhere tourist boards get excited about. It's a small, traditional library with the usual stock of books, local interest materials, and a quiet space that's genuinely peaceful. The staff are friendly enough, and if you're staying at Holme Valley Camping & Caravan Park or Secret Valley Escapes, it's close enough for a wet afternoon without feeling like a chore.

This isn't a destination in itself. It's useful if you're hunkering down in the area during dodgy weather or want to pick up reading material for the caravan. If you're after proper attractions, Holmfirth itself has the Last of the Summer Wine connections and decent walks. The library works better as a fallback than a draw.
