Allt Chreaga Dubha Waterfall

Water crashes down a moss-covered rock face in the middle of nowhere, and that's precisely the appeal of Allt Chreaga Dubha. This waterfall sits within a proper nature reserve on the Isle of Mull, surrounded by the kind of raw Argyll landscape that makes you forget your phone's even got signal.

The walk to reach it isn't particularly gruelling, but it's definitely a real walk - boggy underfoot, uneven ground, the sort of path that requires proper footwear rather than weekend trainers.
