The museum doesn't shy away from the brutal reality of what these soldiers faced - there are personal accounts, weapons, uniforms, and photographs that make it properly affecting rather than sanitised. The glider section alone is worth the visit; seeing the tight conditions these men were packed into puts everything into perspective.

It works best for adults and older teenagers with a genuine interest in World War Two. Younger kids might find themselves restless unless they're already hooked on the subject. The interactive bits help break things up, but this isn't a theme park experience.
