About Acrehowe Hill
Walkers will find the ascent straightforward enough - it's more of a good stretch of the legs than a proper hike. The paths can get a bit muddy after rain, so decent boots are worth bringing. From the top, you can see right across Bradford and beyond on a clear day, though don't expect anything spectacular.
Families with older children will manage fine, but toddlers might find it a slog. Allow about two hours for the round trip, including time to catch your breath at the summit. The hill works well as part of a longer walking day in the area - you could easily combine it with exploring some of the moorland paths that spread out from here.
It's free to access, naturally, and you can park in Shipley and walk up through the residential streets to reach the footpaths. Not the most dramatic peak in Yorkshire, but it'll give your legs a workout and the views aren't bad for somewhere so close to town.
