Aberfeldy Caravan Park

The caravan park sits on the edge of Aberfeldy, a proper base if you're planning to explore Perthshire properly. It's functional rather than fancy - the sort of place where you'll find families who've been coming back for years, caravans pitched up beside the river with decent access to walks and local pubs. You're looking at a standard setup: pitches, facilities, the usual amenities. Nothing flashy, but it works.

The real value isn't the park itself but what's around it. Aberfeldy's got the famous Black Dog Stone and Wade's Bridge right in town, plus you're minutes from some crackling woodland walks. If you fancy moving on, Pitilie Pods just up the road offers something altogether different - glamping pods with proper ratings to back them up - while Grandtully Station Campsite (four miles away) and Glengoulandie (six miles out) give you other options if this one's full.

For families, it's adequate. Kids won't be blown away by the facilities, but they'll have space to run about and you can do proper hill walks from the doorstep. History types might find the surrounding area more interesting than the park itself - the whole region is loaded with Stone Age sites and old drover routes.

Best time to visit is May through September when the weather actually cooperates and the midges aren't absolutely murderous.
