Glastonbury Tor dominates the landscape - that iconic conical hill crowned by St. Michael's Tower where you can see across the Somerset Levels for miles on a clear day.

The ruined abbey grounds hold the supposed site of King Arthur's Tomb, though locals will cheerfully debate the authenticity over a pint. More certain is the abbey's role as one of medieval England's richest monasteries before Henry VIII's dissolution.
