Dense canopy and well-worn paths make this woodland a proper escape from Hereford's busy streets just a few miles away. The forest covers a decent stretch of rolling Herefordshire countryside, with enough variety in the terrain to keep walkers engaged for a good couple of hours.

For families staying at nearby sites like Long Coppice or Broadmeadow, it's a handy option when the kids need burning off before lunch. Not a destination woodland by any means, but certainly worth an hour or two if you're camping locally and fancy stretching your legs without driving far.
