Warren Point

The walk down to Warren Point takes you through proper coastal woodland before suddenly opening onto a dramatic stretch of Cornish coastline. Towering cliffs frame a small sandy beach, and on calm days the water turns that almost unbelievable turquoise you see in postcards - except you're actually standing there, not scrolling through Instagram.

It's the kind of spot that rewards the effort. From Bude, it's a decent trek - not punishing, but enough to keep day-trippers away. Once you arrive, you'll find why locals make the journey: the beach is genuinely quiet, the cliffs offer proper drama, and if you're into photography or just sitting still for a bit, you could easily spend two hours here without checking your phone.

Families with young children might find the walk back uphill a bit of a slog on a hot day, though primary school age kids will manage fine. It's less crowded than Bude's main beaches, which makes it worth the detour if you're staying at Pencuke Farm Holiday Cottages or the Bude Camping and Caravanning Club Site nearby. Bring a picnic, wear proper shoes - the path gets uneven - and time your visit for lower tide if you want to explore the beach properly.

Free to access, naturally. No facilities down there, so sort yourself out before you go. Best visited outside peak summer when you've got actual breathing room to appreciate what makes this part of Cornwall special.
