Wansford Pasture & Standen's Pasture

Two stretches of open grassland just outside Stamford that most people speed past without a second glance. Wansford Pasture and Standen's Pasture aren't dramatic - no views that'll make you gasp, no ruins to clamber over. Entry is free and there's no formal visitor infrastructure, which means you just turn up and walk. The nearest proper facilities are in Stamford, a proper gem of a town with Georgian architecture and decent pubs if you need refreshment afterwards.
