You'll find Vann Garden tucked away in the Surrey countryside south of Guildford - a proper treat if you're the sort who gets excited about a well-maintained garden with serious bones. The place has that English country house feel, with formal gardens, woodland walks, and enough mature planting to keep a horticulture student busy for hours.

It's mainly for garden enthusiasts, to be honest. If you're expecting manicured lawns and tropical plants, you'll be disappointed - this is a working garden where things feel lived-in rather than museum-like. The woodland paths are lovely though, especially if you visit in spring when the rhododendrons are doing their thing. Summer's pleasant but less dramatic.

The nearby glamping options at Firesyde and Glamping Holiday are both top-rated and within a couple of miles, making Vann a sensible morning or afternoon excursion from your holiday base. Care Ashore Campsite and Little Cowdray Farm Glamping work too if you're after a slightly quieter setup. Guildford town centre isn't far for supplies or a proper meal if camp food gets tiresome.

Worth a visit if you're in the area and fancy a wander, though I'd check opening hours before driving out - it's not one of those all-hours tourist spots. Two hours is about right to see everything without rushing. Don't bother if you've got small children under about eight - they'll find it dull.
