Trinity Gardens sits right on Bridgwater's doorstep, and it's a proper tonic if you've been cooped up in the caravan. The gardens themselves are modest but genuinely well-tended - think herbaceous borders that actually look like someone cares, a handful of specimen trees, and the sort of peaceful corners where you can hear yourself think. It's the kind of place that rewards a slow wander rather than a quick sprint through.

The real draw here is its accessibility. From any of the nearby parks - The Hideout, Mill Farm, Thornhills, or Wall Eden Farm - it's an easy hop into town, and Trinity Gardens breaks up a day of holiday-park routine without demanding much effort. Families with younger kids will manage it comfortably in 45 minutes to an hour. Older gardeners and plant enthusiasts might linger longer, poking about and noting what's actually thriving in Somerset's damp climate.

There's no pretension to the place, which is rather the point. It's free, open year-round, and does exactly what a municipal garden should: provide a clean, safe space to decompress. Spring's the obvious time - everything's fresh and the bulbs do their thing - but even in quieter months it's worth twenty minutes if you're already in Bridgwater picking up supplies or sorting admin. Don't expect a half-day outing, but as part of a town visit, it slots in perfectly. The gardens complement rather than compete with what Bridgwater itself offers.
