What makes it worth a moment is the setting. Fakenham itself is a proper working market town with real character - the kind of place where locals outnumber tourists and the high street still functions as a high street. The sign sits at one of the entry points, and if you're passing through anyway (which you might be, heading toward the North Norfolk coast), it's worth a quick look. The surrounding area has decent bones: independent shops, a market that's been running since medieval times, and enough character to spend an hour wandering about.

The town sign itself is free to see and takes two minutes. Fakenham works best as a base for exploring proper Norfolk rather than a destination in itself, but if you're camping nearby, you'll drive past it anyway. Best visited during daylight, obviously.
