Bradley Burn Caravan Park is only 1.8 miles away, making this a natural add-on if you're staying put for a few days. Kingfisher Holiday Park sits a bit further out at 4.6 miles, but both give you a proper base for exploring this quieter corner of County Durham.

Best visited when the weather's dry enough that you won't get properly bogged down. Spring's decent if the birds are moving through.
