What really makes sense is combining The Warren with a stay at one of the nearby caravan parks - Woodland Holiday Park sits just 2.2 miles away, or Forest Park Caravan Site at 4 miles if you want slightly more facilities. You're then well-positioned for Norwich itself without needing to drive through the city centre. The woodland doesn't have any particular historical pull or viewpoint drama; it's purely about getting under the trees and breathing differently for an hour. In summer it's cooler, in spring it can be boggy. Worth the detour if you're in the area with a caravan or looking for a free woodland stretch, but don't expect dramatic vistas or destinations within it.
