The Scramble Experience

The Scramble Experience sits in Folkestone and tells the story of the Second World War's most chaotic moment - Operation Dynamo, the evacuation from Dunkirk. It's housed in what was once a secret wartime operations room, which immediately sets the tone for what you're walking into.

The town itself has the Leas and a working harbour, so it works as part of a broader visit rather than a standalone day out. Budget a couple of hours if you're a keen reader; less if you want the headlines.
