The Promenade stretches for roughly half a mile, offering proper views across the Severn Valley while you stroll past the grand buildings that made Malvern a fashionable spa destination. Built in the 1800s when taking the waters was all the rage, it's lined with impressive hotels and terraces that speak to the town's heyday as a health resort. You'll spot the Imperial Hotel and other fine examples of Victorian architecture as you walk. The path itself is well-maintained and mostly flat, making it accessible for pushchairs and older visitors who might struggle with the steeper hill paths above. History buffs will appreciate the blue plaques marking spots where famous figures like Edward Elgar and George Bernard Shaw once wandered. Families staying at nearby sites like Malvern Hills Caravan and Motorhome Club Campsite or Oakmere Parks will find it's a gentle introduction to the area before tackling the more demanding hill walks. Allow about 30 minutes for a leisurely stroll, though you could easily spend longer if you stop for tea at one of the cafes along the way. Best visited in the morning when the light catches the valley views just right.
