The Lake

The Lake sits quietly near Bescar, a proper slice of Lancashire countryside that most tourists drive straight past without noticing. It's a modest body of water - nothing like Windermere or Coniston - but that's rather the point. You get the peaceful walking and birdwatching without the crowds and the car parks full of coaches.
