The Holt

Walk into The Holt and you're immediately wrapped in proper woodland - the kind of place where the canopy cuts out enough light to make it feel like stepping into another world, just ten minutes from Cleethorpes' seafront chaos. This is native forest in Lincolnshire, which isn't something you stumble across every day out here. The paths are well-maintained and threading through, you get a real sense of what the landscape looked like before the Wolds became all open farmland and hedgerows.
