Walking into this Victorian schoolroom feels like stepping back about 150 years. It's housed in Burntisland, a proper coastal town that doesn't get nearly enough visitors, and it's the sort of place that works brilliantly if you've got kids in primary school - they'll actually engage with it rather than zone out.

It's not a huge sprawl - you'll spend an hour here, maybe 90 minutes if you're thorough - but it's genuinely interesting without feeling like a slog.
