You won't need more than an hour here, maybe ninety minutes if there's an exhibition that hooks you. It's not a blockbuster venue, but that's precisely the point. The scale feels human.

Watchet itself is worth a proper wander. The harbour's atmospheric without being overdone, and there are decent enough cafes scattered about. If you're basing yourself at Moorhouse Campsite or Warren Bay Holiday Village, the gallery doubles as a good cultural anchor - somewhere to spend an hour while the weather turns, or to add a bit of substance to a seaside holiday that might otherwise be all donkeys and ice cream.
