The Recreation Ground sits on the edge of Tenterden, a proper working space where locals come to walk dogs, kick a ball about, and generally enjoy a bit of green. This works best if you're staying nearby at one of the glamping sites - Wood View Farm, Wildside, or Wheatfields are all within a few miles - and need somewhere to stretch your legs between afternoon activities. Families with young kids will get an hour out of it, walkers could easily do longer circuits, and dog owners will find it absolutely perfect. There's no visitor infrastructure to speak of, so come prepared with water if you're planning anything substantial.

Tenterden itself is the nearest town, a proper Kentish market town with more soul than hype. The Recreation Ground functions as the area's breathing room - not Instagram-ready, but genuinely useful for a half-morning wander when the weather's reasonable. Allow 45 minutes to two hours depending on pace and ambition.
