Templars Copse

Templars Copse is a proper woodland walk just outside Bridgwater, where you can lose yourself among the trees without needing to drive far from town. It's the kind of place where the light filters through the canopy in that golden way that makes you remember why you came to Somerset in the first place.

The walk itself is straightforward - nothing punishing, nothing that requires special kit. Serious walkers treating it as a quick leg stretch between bigger hikes will be in and out inside forty-five minutes.

The real advantage is proximity to Bridgwater and the nearby holiday parks - The Hideout, Thornhills, and Bobsfield are all within a few miles, making Templars Copse ideal as a morning option before you head elsewhere. It's the sort of walk you'd do because you're staying locally, not because you'd book a trip specifically for it. That said, on a clear autumn afternoon, it's exactly where you want to be.
