Tain Free Church

The Free Church in Tain is a solid Victorian sandstone building that speaks to the ecclesiastical divisions that shaped the Highlands. Built in the 1840s, it stands as a physical marker of the Free Church split from the Church of Scotland - a schism that mattered deeply to communities here, even if it feels like ancient history now.

You'll find it in central Tain, easy enough to spot if you're wandering round the town.
