Honestly? You're not coming to Swindon for the town centre itself. It's functional, occasionally interesting, but not the sort of place you'd build a holiday around. That said, if you're staying at Nordic Glamping at Botswicky - just five miles away - it's handy for a rainy afternoon or grabbing supplies. The traffic roundabout is worth seeing once, even if just to confirm it's as bonkers as you've heard. Allow two hours maximum for the town proper, longer if the museum grabs you.
