Studley Park

Water, woodland, and the ruins of a twelfth-century monastery - Studley Park delivers all three in spades, just outside Ripon. Families with restless kids might find it a bit slow - there's little by way of play facilities or structured activities - but older children who can manage uneven paths will find it genuinely interesting.
