Strachur Smiddy

The blacksmith's forge at Strachur still smells of coal and metal. Inside this working museum near Cairndow, you'll find a proper 19th-century smithy where craftspeople actually demonstrate traditional blacksmithing - hammering out nails, horseshoes, and decorative ironwork just as they did two hundred years ago.
