Stonework Ruins at Toniford Manor

What's left of Toniford Manor is basically a pile of worked stone scattered across a field just outside Canterbury - the kind of place that makes you wonder what happened here and why nobody bothered to tidy it up. The ruins themselves are modest: fragmented walls and dressed stonework that hint at a building of some substance, though whether it was a manor house proper or something else entirely is genuinely hard to tell from what remains.

You won't spend hours here. A proper look takes twenty minutes, maybe thirty if you're the type to photograph every angle and squint at mortar joints. It's the sort of stop that works best as part of a Canterbury walk rather than a destination in itself - something to tick off if you're already in the area.
