The church sits quietly on a Devon lane just outside Tavistock, one of those village churches that feels genuinely forgotten by time. St Mary the Virgin is a proper working parish church, small and completely unpretentious - the sort of place where you'd expect to find someone actually praying rather than just poking around with a camera.
