But if you're based at somewhere like Pightle Farm Campsite nearby and fancy a gentle walk into the local landscape, it's a worthwhile spot to navigate towards. History types will appreciate the genuine medieval fabric. Families with restless kids won't find much to hold attention for long.

Access seems straightforward for a country church, though it's worth checking locally if you're planning a specific visit - some village churches keep irregular hours. The walk from the campsite would be pleasant enough, taking you through proper Essex countryside rather than the flat, featureless bits you sometimes get round here.

Good for breaking up a longer ramble. Not worth driving from Cambridge specifically.
