A 15th-century church sitting quietly in the Suffolk village of Badingham, just a few miles east of Halesworth. St John the Baptist is the sort of place that rewards a slow wander - medieval flintwork on the outside, timber roof inside that speaks to proper craftsmanship. The porch alone is worth studying, all ornate and carved when the village would have been far more important than it is now.
