St. Henry Walpole

A modest red-brick church standing in the Norfolk countryside near Peterstone, St. Henry Walpole is the sort of place you'll stumble upon while cycling between the camping sites around here rather than deliberately hunt down. It's dedicated to a 16th-century Catholic martyr - Henry Walpole was executed under Elizabeth I, which gives the building a bit of historical weight even if it doesn't shout about it.

The church itself is straightforward and local, the kind of spot where walkers appreciate the chance to sit quietly for ten minutes rather than gawk at ornate stonework. If you're staying at Deepdale Camping or Range Farm Glamping, both very close by, it makes a reasonable walking detour on a longer ramble through the lanes.
