You get a decent spread of rides and attractions without the chaos of the big national parks - think family-friendly thrills rather than white-knuckle terror. The park layout is sensible, queues move reasonably, and staff actually seem to know what they're doing.

It works brilliantly for families with children aged roughly five to thirteen. Younger kids have proper rides designed for them rather than just toddler roundabouts, while teenagers won't feel they've outgrown the place entirely. If you're into theme parks but find Alton Towers exhausting or too expensive, this delivers a proper day out at a fraction of the cost and stress.
