It's not a theme park or a heavily managed attraction - it's a farm. That's the appeal and the limitation both. You won't find manicured paths or a gift shop, which some will love and others will find frustratingly low-key.

If you're staying at Warren Wood Country Park just over a mile away, Sharnfold makes an easy morning or afternoon addition to your trip. Pevensey Bay Holiday Park is close enough for a quick visit between beach days. Allow an hour or so, depending on how long you want to linger and whether there's much activity on the day you go.

Timing matters. Visit during working hours and you'll see the farm properly. Weekends can be quieter on the farming side but busier with other visitors.
